Abrahamic Reunion Community Service San Jose 2018 II
SAN JOSE, California — On Sunday, September 2, 2018, more than sixty Jews, Christians and Muslims united to serve 300 meals to the homeless and hungry of San Jose. Volunteer orientation was led by Br. Shan Saigal of South Bay Islamic Association, Rev. Larry Albright of Lincoln Glen Church, and Eva Lippmann of Congregation Sinai. Jewish, Christian and Muslim volunteers formed small buddy groups to get better acquainted before collaborating in compassion at South Bay Islamic Association. After preparing the meal, volunteers drove to Cityteam Men’s Recovery Center to serve program residents and our friends who live outside. Thereafter, volunteers dined together and enjoyed further conversation.
