Feeding homeless and low income families in Gilroy, California at St. Joseph's Family Center.
Members of the Abrahamic Youth Alliance gathered at Lincoln Glen Church to prepare a delicious halal chicken casserole. On the following day, Jewish, Christian and Muslim volunteers gathered at St. Joseph's Family Center, teamed up in work groups, discussed several fun topics to get to know each other better, then got to work. Members of South Valley Islamic Center coordinated the preparation of finger-licking garlic bread. Members of Congregation Emeth oversaw the creation of a scrumptious fruit salad. The children of volunteers were eager to serve dessert. After all guests were served, volunteers enjoyed dinner together before cleanup. Grant Gordon, president of Congregation Emeth, concluded the service with a blessing provided by Rabbi Debbie Israel.
